Today's post is about writing goals. So many of us take stock and try to chart a course for another year. I believe in setting goals. Very much so. Goals help us to stay the course, helping to keep us on track when other matters would distract us.
Do You Have Writing Goals for 2010?
If you've set new writing goals, I invite you to share them at Write and Earn a Living. We can encourage and inspire one another!
My Writing Goals
- Continue to promote The Bedbug Who Wouldn't Bite
- Work on the second story in the BEDBUG SERIES. I have the book dummy sitting on my kitchen nook.
- Continue writing articles for Suite 101 and working to increase monthly earnings.
- Continue writing articles for Triond so that my targeted monthly income amount climbs higher.
- Write additional HubPages so that income continues to grow.
- Check the great job board feature at Bukisa, so that if time and circumstances permit, I can pick up writing jobs. I have articles at Bukisa but haven't really worked hard at it because my writing schedule is so full--but, I must share that joining Bukisa for the job board alone is a great way to find writing gigs for the new year. I notice that many of the job postings offer decent pay rates, as well--not the insult that is offered to writers when some outfit wants to pay $1.00 per 500-word article.
- Continue to add blurbs and bites for Xomba. Xomba has proven to be one of the best earners for me.
- Continue to offer tips and insights at my blogs because I believe that when we help others, we also help ourselves. Work towards attracting a greater number of readers for my blogs.
May we all have a joyous and prosperous new year!

I have just set goals for myself too. I have four different writing accounts plus my Chris Stonecipher and Friends blog. I plan to write atleast 30 articles per month. They maybe on various sites I write such as Associated Content, Bukisa, Factoid, and Triond. I will continue to update my Chris Stonecipher and Friends blog with my friends' articles plus my own.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for sharing what you are doing to make money online from your writing. It's great that we can encourage one another along the way. I wish you every success in all your endeavors!
Thanks Athlyn,
I was just recently invited to join Whidbey Island's Writers Association as a full member. It is the largest writing association in Washington State. I am excited.
This sounds exciting, Chris. I wish you all the best with it.
