I thought I would start off this week by relaying what has happened over at Bukisa.
It has now been one week since I joined Bukisa on April 27th. What has happened so far?
I started off with my first article: Creating a Pattern of Success: Life-Altering Strategies for Tackling Tough Challenges. The article has received 35 unique views and has earned .12.
I wrote another article: Who is Susan Boyle? which has gotten 28 views and has earned me .10.
I also started an article series about keywords. My first article, What Are Keywords has gotten 63 views and has earned me .22.
I submitted 7 articles this first week and revenue came in at .51 cents, which, although small, is pretty good for having just gotten started with Bukisa.
What I've found unexpected and rather exciting is that 4 people joined my network. I didn't expect that this would happen so quickly. And, I've started earning on one person who has submitted an article.
Before recommending anything, I always like to try it first so that I can give the real goods to readers.
It will be interesting to see what the earnings are at the end of week two and whether my network will have grown even further. You can join Bukisa under me and I will work to promote your articles. Give it a day or two and you will start to see earnings coming in.

Bukisa Earnings
I had planned to wind up my series of posts on Bukisa but I've received a number of inquiries so thought I would keep readers updated here at Write and Earn a Living, over answering a bunch of emails. A couple of writers are thinking of joining Bukisa so I think it will prove helpful to share what my experience has been so far.
Bukisa Earnings
- My first day, I saw nothing much happening--other than a couple of profile views
- The next two days: earnings were about .38
- Day three: .45 in earnings and 5 articles in
I'm curious to see what the stats will look like tonight. It's always encouraging to see a jump in earnings.
Bukisa, like Triond, is a longtail game, which means that writers do not receive a one-off payment, rather, if they create a large, interlinked article base, they can expect ongoing monthly earnings which may prove to be far higher than one-time payments.
I decided, right out of the starting gate, I would do an article series with one article linking to the next and so on. You can see how I've done this in this first series article: What Are Keywords? You'll notice at the bottom of the article, a link to the next article. I will have to get busy and complete article three!
I'll continue with regular updates for those who are considering joining Bukisa to add to their present writng income.

Bukisa--The Real Deal
For readers who have been following this Bukisa series, I'll wind things up by saying that Bukisa is the real deal.
I'm happy with the site overall and am already seeing earnings on my first five articles.
I also like the capability of earning on those who join under me. Normally, I stay away from sites that claim you make earnings from those in your network because this reminds me of questionable MLM schemes but, so far, everything the site claims is on the level.
Sites that target writers and offer networks actually make sense. Why? Hands down, you have a better chance of earnings because the people who join under you are also writers--not tire-kickers--this means they know how to create content.
I noticed this pattern over at HubPages and have 80+ writers who joined HubPages. These people continue to produce content to this day and I earn on it.
Final thoughts on Bukisa: it's another legitimate site where writers create short or longer articles (250-6000 words). It's easy to join Bukisa and you earn for your efforts.

The Bukisa Article Widget
Readers will notice that I've now included the Bukisa article widget on the upper left-hand side of this blog.
I've been busy creating my first five articles at Bukisa and am already seeing earnings trickling in.
Keep a watch out for my Bukisa articles because I've started a series about keywords: how to understand them and use them in your online articles.
With challenging economic times, people are turning to the Internet in record numbers, hoping to supplement their incomes; however writing for an online audience is a whole different ballgame from writing for print publications. My keyword article series at Bukisa will prove helpful for newer and experienced article writers.
On another note . . .
- I've discovered that Bukisa offers good bookmarking capability. After bookmarking my first two articles, using preinstalled bookmarklets, I noticed, over to the left of my third published article, bookmarking options for numerous sites. This capability makes the process so much easier, as your article URL is automatically included!
- I still can't get the spellchecker to work so have contacted Bukisa to sort things out.
- It's easy to join Bukisa and start earning for your writing.

The Bukisa Index: Higher Writer Payments?
Hello everyone. In today's post, I'll be discussing the Bukisa Index and how it affects writer payments.
The Bukisa Index is a revenue sharing model that offers writers a certain amount USD for every 1000 visits to their published content. In simple terms, if the Bukisa Index is $4.00 per 1000 unique views, you will receive this amount in earnings.
The Bukisa Index is updated once a month, based on the overall performance on a number of revenue streams. The higher the Bukisa Index, the more money writers earn.
Bukisa is gaining traction online which means more views of published content.
Bukisa continues to offer the highest CPM revenue share so it is a good site for those looking to earn revenue. Content creators can join Bukisa to add to their online income.

Getting Started With Bukisa
I mentioned yesterday that I had decided to join Bukisa and that I would share my experiences with readers.
So far, I'm happy with the site offerings. I published my first article today and found the online writing window easy to navigate. A helpful feature was the word count down in the lower left hand corner. I still haven't figured out how to get the spellchecker working. While I see one, I couldn't get it winkled out.
Articles need to be at least 250 words but can be longer than this. I found myself having to chop my first article as it exceeded standard online article lengths.
Bukisa Features I Like
- The profile feature allows writers to point to their other sites, which is a form of free advertising.
- You can also link to your other articles. This is always an important consideration when deciding to write for a revenue share opportunity. If you can link to your other online articles, you get paid for your primary article plus earn revenue when readers click through to your other works.

Writing for Bukisa
Today, I want to discuss the writing site Bukisa. When I first heard about it, I thought I would wait on user feedback and see how Bukisa panned out.
Over time, I've heard good things about Bukisa and many writers have contacted me and related that they are happy with the earning potential.
I decided to join Bukisa. Registration was easy and I was informed that I would receive the standard activation link in an email. While waiting upon that, I got busy and wrote
a short bio and uploaded a picture + added Twitter to my Bukisa account.
Incidentally, Triond now has functionality so that users can also add Twitter--so for both sites, this means that each time you publish something, it is automatically added to Twitter. Since activating automatic Twitter updates, my number of Twitter followers has grown substantially.
Getting back to Bukisa, writers receive payment within 30 days of the end of the month in which their earnings reach the minimum level of $10.00USD. Payments are via PayPal.
Best of all, Bukisa is open to non-US residents. If you are from Canada, you may have felt frustrated that many of the online writing opportunities are unavailable to Canadian writers.
While Bukisa recommends original content, you can publish previously published works. I have mixed feelings about this: there's concern about duplicate content and how that relates to Google; as well, I've noticed that article earnings are higher per piece when traffic isn't diverted.
Deciding to publish PPP's is a personal decision. You may have work on a site that isn't performing up to expectations or the site's policies have prevented you from getting paid on your content (for example, Helium's rule about maintaining a star before you receive payments). In these scenarios, you may decide to publish that content on Bukisa so that at least you are earning something for your past efforts.
Writers can submit up to 25 pieces of content daily at Bukisa.
As well, Bukisa has a 3-levels-deep revenue sharing model, so that your earn when you invite others to join Bukisa.

Triond Authors Who Won the 10 Runners-Up
For those of us who create online content, we all know that our page views have a direct correlation to revenue earned.
In writing articles for an online audience, it makes sense to identify factors that have helped other authors to achieve high page views, netting them greater earnings for their online content.

Chosen for the First Guest Blogger at Articlesbase
I was very pleased that I was contacted by Articlesbase and asked if I would include an excerpt of my article: Article Ideas: Using Who, What, Why, Where, When to Spark Inspiration.
I recently started writing short articles for Articlesbase because I liked the site offerings: long-term exposure for and traffic generation to my other online articles.
Articlesbase allows for linking to a writer's other Internet-based articles, as well as an author bio. This appealed, because the idea of an article, working away in the background for me, once I had done the initial work, made sense.
Articlesbase is a free directory, where interested parties search for articles to use on their websites, in newsletters, on blogs, etc. With the number of Internet sites growing daily, the need for content has never been greater.

I liked the sound of that because I find that much of my work is geared to an online audience. While I still have my finger in print opportunities, I also create much online content.

The last month has been very busy for me. I've spent most of my time involved in Web content writing so I haven't had many opportunities to post to this blog. This is a situation I am striving to rectify.

Author Contest has Come to a Close and Winner to be Announced!
The contest for the Triond author who had the article with the highest page views has now come to a close and the winner has been determined!
I will be announcing the winner in the next few days so keep an eye out at Triond to see who has won King or Queen of Content. An author interview will be included and should inspire other online content writers, helping them to see how to craft their articles to attract a wider readership.
