Eating Donuts and Drinking Tea

**)
I'm sitting here today eating donuts and drinking tea. I had a hard time sleeping last night so am running on empty today.

The nice thing about freelance writing is that if you feel "yucky" you can fiddle, over killing yourself at a job you dislike.

Even when I don't feel good, I have to admit that most days, I'm glued to my computer. If you are anything like me, you'll agree that writing is addictive and there's always that paragraph you want to tweak, that article you just want to finish, those lines rattling around in your brain and begging to emerge via your word processor.

My friends think I'm a work-a-holic. Hmm . . . Is loving what you do the same thing?

I tend to work most weekends . . .

I resent having my time taken up with mundane matters . . .

As soon as I'm up and about, I turn on my computer . . .

Hmmm . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . **)

I'm the same, glued to my computer as soon as I get up!

Yup, it's addictive!

I'm a write-a-holic for sure. I always am running through ideas and love my work. But yes, it does come off as being a workaholic, and I have to force myself to turn the computer off on weekends.

Hi Rachel,
I finally took this weekend off--only turned on the computer to check my email but no work. I was proud of myself!
