Tax time is looming again and many of us are scrambling to find related slips for income we've earned from our writing over the past year.

The process of preparing my taxes has gotten so much easier as my writing has morphed from hard copy into online writing.
Most of the sites I write for pay electronically. This method of payment offers distinct advantages for writers. Writers who are paid in this fashion can access their account areas and locate a record of the year's transactions. These pages can be printed off and viola! you have a record of your writing income, which you can use with your tax return. It really doesn't get much easier.
Another neat trick is to keep an envelope containing any other records/slips of expenses/payments, so you don't waste time looking for these things later.
The world of electronic transactions is a life-saver to busy writers everywhere come tax time.
