Hello Everyone. I'm happy to announce that after a wee bit of trial and error this blog has an additional side column.
I've wanted to update my template for a long time but didn't want to lose all my widgets and links. The thought of trying to save all of them and then having to add them all over again wasn't appealing so I opted to actually go in and change the HTML.
I believe the new format will be more readable and readers should find it easier to locate applicable resources, whether that be links to how-to writing articles, widgets, job links or job boards.
I'll be changing my e-mail subscription settings soon so that just a lead paragraph will be mailed out to subscribers. I'm doing this to encourage readers to visit the blog. This way they (you) can ask questions (notice the new chat box), comment, access writing how-to's, browse writing jobs, and generally keep abreast of updated information on the blog.
Simply reading the email feed will not allow readers to partake of all the blog offerings. I am constantly updating content so I believe this move will be beneficial.
I hope you enjoy the changes. Please let me know if there are other features you would like to see added to the blog.
On the Drawing Board . . .
* In coming posts, I'll be discussing some fabulous free blogging resources so make sure to check back often.

Black type on gray background is hard to read. Do blogger themes let you customized CSS?
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte,
ReplyDeleteRight in Blogger, you can select:"customize" then choose "Fonts and Colors" to change the way your text looks in whatever template you've chosen.
In relation to other Blogger templates, visit the Blogger Guide: http://bguide.blogspot.com/ for specific instructions for modifying your template.
Constant updates of content is necessary, As the Big Brother Google likes the new content, it will act as a strategy. Further constant updates will lead to a higher traffic resulting into increase in PR.
