Writing for Triond: How Much Money Can You Make?

The other day, I came across a blog posting where the writer mentioned that he had made 25 cents writing for Triond . . . Obviously, he wasn't yet making real money writing for Triond.

I found this surprising.

While it does take some time, you can make money writing for Triond.

Most online article writers implement certain steps to drive traffic to their articles. It is no different when submitting content to Triond. Traffic is the holy grail for profit generation.

Triond makes the process easier by including bookmarking buttons, Feeds that you can use in other places to detail up to 5 of your Triond articles, a Triond article widget--and, Triond even gives you access to your total article earnings so that you can see which articles are performing well.

To prove my contention, that one can make money with Triond, I'm nearing the 1,000,000 million views mark. Other Triond writers have received as many as 2,000,000 views. Why do I mention views? Because views translate into earnings. In my article, Triond's Top Writers: Who Are the Top Writers at Triond? I discuss writers such as Nelson Doyle, Kristie Leong, and Ulsterman. They've demonstrated that with hard work, it is possible to make money with Triond. Nelson has shared some of his earnings, in fact.

Triond is not a get-rich-quick scheme, rather it is a site that newer writers can use to hone their writing skills while picking up some extra income on the side. I would recommend that new members read through the Help Center at the bottom of the Triond page and access the Submissions tab to learn how to proceed. Valuable tips are given on how to structure your articles for the search engines.

Seasoned freelancers also write for Triond. While they may downplay their efforts because it is not viewed as a "real" publishing gig and more a content site, it is still a means of earning  money from doing what they do best. In hard economic times, most of us are willing to do just about anything to pay our bills and put food on the table.

How Much Money Can you Make Writing for Triond?
I'm often asked this question. A number of factors come into play: content popularity, keyword optimization, readability; however, I can share with you some of my own totals--earnings on some of my articles, to give you an idea as to what to realistically expect.
  • $18.25
  • $10.52
  • $10.06
  • $9.56
  • $4.13
Now, these totals are very much on the low side. I've shown them so that newer writers can see what is possible. What is perhaps one of the best benefits of writing for Triond is that article earnings never stop because of Triond's revenue sharing model.

Contrast the earnings above with the article mills where you are paid $2.00-$5.00 per 500-word article. What an insult! With Triond, you earn potentially earn far more and those earnings are ongoing--not a one time laughable payment. It takes awhile for earnings to accumulate but that's okay with me. I'd rather have a number of articles earning me something, rather than receiving a ridiculous one-time payment.

To see some of my other earnings, which are more on the mark for what I make (when I put in the effort to promote my articles), please see my article Earn Monthly Income With Triond or click on the tab at the top of this site to access this information. In this article, I provide an actual screen shot of recent Triond article earnings.

      3. my attempts at Triond have been rather a hit-or-miss affair. i signed up more than 2 years ago (i think) and stopped submitting posts a few months later. the funny thing is that i'm still earning a few cents every month until now. it's not much but it still makes me smile to see some of my old posts 'grinding on'...

      7. Nothing's more exciting than seeing a Triond article just continue earning well past it's prime. The first I ever posted still earns a few cents a day.

Doesn't sound like much, but I definitely enjoy it.

      8. Hi Guffin,

        That's great to hear!

Make sure you link to it at every opportunity to drive more traffic to it. Also, if you haven't done so already, include it in your e-mail signature (hyperlinked), if appropriate.

If you are part of Facebook, you can post a link to your article, as well.

Thanks for visiting the blog and sharing your experiences.

      9. Thanks for the article, I like your website. I have only just joined Trion and was discouraged because I posted an article and didn't even make a cent. But if there are higher earnings I will continue. :)

      12. I recently discovered Triond and I published an experimental article I called How Much Will This Article Earn? and got 5,000 views in one week! It was fun so I decided to write more in the future. I think we just have to promote it well in order for us to get views. Sometimes I just post the article to my facebook account and get atleast 200 a day from it. Twitter is also a good source of views.

        Keep on writing! Goodluck!

      13. I'm going to have to be honest with you guys. I've been signed up Triond for about 2 years now, and gotten about $1.50 all together. Now, I may not have been writing much, but I did write over 50 full articles. $1.50 for 50 articles isn't much, compared to "article mills" like textbroker.com. At least when you write for them, you know you're getting paid.

      14. how long have you been writing on Triond? I started two months ago.

      15. I've been writing for Triond for almost two years and the pay is absolutely appalling. The "article mills" you mentioned pay me around $1,000 a month (I only work about three hours a day on these "mills"). Triond, on the other hand, pays me about .50cents a month.

I recently read this article, felt inspired to begin writing for Triond again, and went over to their site. I wrote three articles in one day. The one article I wrote received 50 views within the hour it was published. You can imagine how annoyed I was to find a crummy .02cents in my Triond account the next day after that particular article received over 100 views in a day.

I recently wrote an article for a "mill" client about Triond and mentioned that "...Triond is a great site for new hobbyist writers to grow, but a horrible place for working writers to make enough money to sustain themselves."

On a side note, article mills are not as bad as you make them out to be. I actually got hired to work for another private writing company THROUGH Text Broker, because the client I was working with liked my writing so much. Since being with Triond, I have not received such feedback.

      16. Hi Kat,
It sounds as thought you have done well. And it sounds as though the sites you write for are the real deal.

Much depends on whether a person likes one-time payments or rev. share. and it always pays to research any site before becoming a member, as sites differ.

With many online rev. share sites, such as Triond, writers have to do SEO, bookmarking and linking so that their online articles earn for them. Some Triond writers have discovered what works and earn hundreds each month; others earn only pennies.

I always recommend that if someone finds something that works for them, to enlarge on what they are doing.

Personally, I would never write an article for $2.00-$5.00 but that is just me. For someone starting out who can write articles quickly this might appeal.

      18. It's encouraging to hear that writers have found good payment rates writing for other sites. Not all sites are "article mills." Please see my listing at the top of this site for additional writing sites.

For those who like the Triond publishing platform but are struggling to earn, one of the best strategies is to research your keywords using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. check CPC always before writing any article around a keyword/keyword phrase.

Also, write for more than one site and test the waters to see where you find the best payment rates. Experiences will differ among individual writers. Some will do better writing for one-time payments; others will find success with rev, share sites; still others will find that working both types of opportunities suits them best.

Assess what you are doing that is working and try to expand on your efforts. In this way, you will increase your online income.

        Good Luck!
